Call for Nominations for 2023 Member Recognition Awards

Council 4 is on the lookout for members who are dedicated unionists and labor activists always going the extra mile for their union siblings, or are outstanding citizens making a difference in their community or in someone’s life.

If you have these people in your ranks, please consider submitting their names to the Recognition & Awards Committee. Recipients will receive the awards at the Council 4 Biennial Conference Recognition Dinner on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Mystic Marriott Hotel.

In 2019, the pre-Covid plan of the committee was to continue to meet and evaluate how we have honored members in the past, and how we can continue to recognize members with awards that are meaningful to Council 4 locals, the membership and future recipients.

Moving forward, the committee will pick up where it left off in 2019 and continue the process of drafting award categories, guidelines and selection criteria for a Council 4 Awards Program to be adopted for use at future conferences and/or conventions.

The committee met recently and has chosen to continue the recognition program as is, with the 2019 transition year addition of singling out exceptional nominees and presenting special awards in various categories.

We encourage you to consider submitting nominations for Council 4 members to be recognized at the Awards Dinner on April 14, 2023.

Please do your best to make thoughtful, detailed nominations of your Council 4 siblings, as all nominations received may be considered by the committee as warranting a special award this year.

Please Note: Eligibility for Member Awards is limited to one award within the last four years.
