Historically, an acceptable social norm for women was “ to be seen and not heard.” As a result, women carried their purses as a shield of comfort. Through grace and fortitude, women organized the Women's Suffrage March, which was a significant factor in transforming the narrative of women. Carrying the torch of fortitude, The Women's Rights Committee of AFSCME Council 4 works diligently to ensure the success of all women. Please help us raise funds by supporting this event. Designer Handbags Bingo!

This fundraising event is open to Council 4 members, families, and friends. The handbags on offer are Coach, Kate Spade, and The Sak.

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2023

Time: 6:00-9:00 pm (doors open 5:30 pm)

Location: Council 4, 444 East Main St, New Britain

Tickets are $35 per person before Dec 2, $40 per person at the door, and $200 for a table of 6. You can purchase tickets by contacting Stacie Harris-Byrdsong (contact info below). 

The event is Bring Your Own Refreshments. Bingo daubers, special cards, and raffle tickets will be available for additional purchase.
