The AFSCME Council 4 Civil Rights Committee is hosting a "Soul Food Summer Drive-In" movie series outside Council 4 headquarters in New Britain.

On Aug. 14, the featured movie will be "Selma."

Director Ava DuVernay’s powerful drama tells the incredible story of how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the epic march from Selma to Montgomery in 1965 to secure equal voting rights in an event that forever altered history.

The Civil Rights Committee Movie Night is for Council 4 members and family only.

Suggested arrival time is 8:00 p.m. Screening will start at 8:30 p.m.

You can bring a lawn chair or view the movie from your car. Be sure to bring your face mask and practice social distancing.
