Day of Action for School Bus Drivers
We are involved with an organizing drive in North Stonington with and for the bus drivers of the North Stonington yard. Services are contracted out to M & J Bus Inc.
Catrina Altman, one of the key leaders, was terminated the morning of our union meeting. For over ten years, Catrina has provided a valuable service for the students, parents, district and M & J. She is a woman who performed her job with dignity, care and compassion every day for ten years. No prior disciplines! A second leader has been targeted and has received a two-day suspension.
Special Council 4 Delegates Meeting
Council 4 will hold a Special Delegate Assembly meeting on Sept. 21 to review and vote on additional Statewide PEOPLE Steering Committee political endorsement for the upcoming elections.

Council 4 is organizing volunteer phone banks to help support our fellow AFSCME members and retirees who are running for the General Assembly.
Join us Sept. 26 as we do member to member phone banks for Mike DiMassa (116th House District) and Caitlin Clarkson-Pereira (142nd House District).
Pizza and soda will be provided.
