The next Local 610 General Membership Meeting is on Tuesday, April 26, 2017, at 5:30pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Southeastern Mental Health Authority located at 401 West Thames Street, Building 301, Norwich, CT 06360.  Sal Luciano, Executive Director of Council 4 will be a guest speaker at our Administative Professionals Day dinner/meeting.

City workers in Bristol are standing up for quality public services as they take on ill-considered attempts to privatize operations.

Calling him "the only choice for the 99%," AFSCME announced Dec. 6 their endorsement of President Barack Obama for reelection in 2012.

AFSCME Corrections United recognized Local 391's Michael Whitehead as its national correctional officer of the year.

Local 610 awards scholarsips to help cover the cost of college textbooks to any member who qualifies. More information and an application can be found under the Book Award section below.

This award is made to enable/encourage AFSCME Local 610 members, who pursue higher education, reimbursement for purchases of books required for completion of courses based on the criteria listed in the Scholarship Application.  You can access our application by clicking the green title "Local 610 Book Award" above.
