WE ARE AFSCME LOCAL 3419

We are 100-plus strong of the hardest-working, most dedicated state employees in Connecticut. AFSCME Local 3419 members are Program Supervisors for the Department of Children and Families. We manage child protective services, foster care, careline and other essential functions at DCF offices throughout Connecticut. It's our job and our responsibility to protect the safety, well-being and permanency of children of Connecticut. 

We are proud public service employees who accomplish our mission by engaging families to find the best outcomes for children. Our union gives us our voice to be the most effective advocates for children and families.

Our union is affiliated at the state level with Council 4 AFSCME, which represents 30,000 worker, and at the national level with AFSCME International, which represents more than 1 million workers.
