Education & Training & Scholarships

AFSCME offers many scholarships, both to high school and college students with a parent or guardian who is an AFSCME member, as well as to members pursuing educational opportunities while they work.

AFSCME Local 1303 will award 8 (eight) $1,000 scholarships to the college-bound children of Local 1303 members in good standing. Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

Local 1303, representing municipal and board of education employees, offers college scholarships to the children of Local 1303 chapter members.

The Connecticut Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) and the United Auto Workers union (UAW), in collaboration with the Days Family, are pleased to announce the 2015 Richard (Dik) Days Scholarship Awards.
