AFSCME offers many scholarships, both to high school and college students with a parent or guardian who is an AFSCME member, as well as to members pursuing educational opportunities while they work. AFSCME Local 1303, the voice of more than 7,000 municipal and board of education employees, is once again offering college scholarships to the children of Local 1303 chapter members. ![]() The Connecticut Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) and the United Auto Workers union (UAW), in collaboration with the Days Family, are pleased to announce the 2013 Richard (Dik) Days Scholarship Awards. The Local Union Leadership Academy (LULA) is a two-day education program intended for Local Union Executive Boards. If a Local Union Executive Board were to participate, at least 75% of the executive board members must commit to attending the two-day program.
