Remembering the Hartford Distributors WorkersCouncil 4 AFSCME members and staff have been touched by the horrific shooting that took the lives of nine employees who worked at Hartford Distributors, Inc. in Manchester. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the workers as they struggle to make sense of this tragedy. Among the victims were Bryan Cirigliano and Edward Kennison.Bryan was president of Teamsters Local 1035 and a 29-year veteran of the company. Surviving family members include his brother Joe Cirigliano, a Newington town employee and president of Local 2930 of Council 4. Edward's surviving family includes Tom Kennison, an East Hartford Board of Education employee and a member of Local 2727 of Council 4. We grieve for for the Ciriglianos, the Kennisons and all the families impacted by this senseless tragedy. The Teamsters International Union has also established a fund in memory of the Hartford Distributors workers.
