May 26, 2006: NP-3 Pay Plans Updated

     The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has updated the NP-3 Play Plans for effective dates in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

May 3, 2006: General Assembly Adjourns, Contract in Place

April 19, 2006: Appropriations Committee Approves Contract

     The General Assembly’s Appropriations Committee on April 19, 2006 voted without dissent to approve the NP-3 Contract. The contract covers the period beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2009.

March 31: NP-3 Bargaining Unit Ratifies Contract

     Members of the NP-3 Administrative & Clerical Bargaining Unit of Council 4 AFSCME – representing 6,000 clerical employees around the State in 38 Agencies who are a part of Locals 196, 318, 355, 478, 538, 562, 610 and 704 – voted to ratify a new three-year contract with the State of Connecticut. Pending legislative approval, the new contract runs from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2009.

     The General Assembly’s Appropriations Committee is scheduled to take the contract under consideration on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 2C. Pending approval, legislators have 30 days to take action. If no action is taken, the contract becomes law at the end of the legislative session on May 3, 2006.
